The final stage is very spectacular with sublime views of Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Aiguilles. From La Flegere you start a climb on a rocky path to the Col Du Brevent where there is a cable car carrying tourists from the valley. From the Col you have a steady and demanding descent of over 1500m down into Les Houches to finish of one of the worlds classic walks.
