Stage description:
This is a relatively short stage after what would have been two fairly demanding days. Climbing steadily through a narrow steep sided valley you reach the summer cheese-making hamlet of La Ville des Glaciers. After a tough but scenic climb to the Col de la Seigne you can stand on the border of France and Italy where you will be rewarded with superb views in all directions. Rifugio Elizabetta its in a very dramatic location with glaciers spilling down the mountain behind it and great views of the Val Veni before you.
